About Me

Since freshman year of high school, I’ve developed a love for all things photos - not just digital and portrait photography. I continued my studies after film photography in my junior and senior years, taking digital photography and film making my freshman and sophomore years of college.

Although it took years, my passion, skill, knowledge, and a whole boat load of courage has ultimately led here: Deena.MariePhotography. I strive to create a natural, comfortable, and memorable experience while capturing some of the most important milestones in my client’s lives.

Ultimately, my goal is for my photos to reflect authenticity and clarity into the moment/moments I’m photographing. I pride myself on strict communication with my clients during the entire process - from booking to edit release. I adamantly refuse to edit anything other than lighting once digital images are taken (full believer that the art is truly my subject, and my job). I do not watermark my images in hopes that my clients understand the value I place in not only their satisfaction with my work, but also the trust in the client:photog relationship - the goal being to grow a bond over the course of not just one session, but many.

Born and raised in Michigan, I currently live in Pontiac, Michigan with my boyfriend, my bonus kiddo, and our three crazy cats. When I’m not behind a camera, I also work part-time at a boarding kennel! I enjoy traveling, binge watching true crime documentaries, and puzzles!
